Karen has worked in the broadcasting industry for more than two decades, as an anchor, reporter and producer. Much of her career has focused on reporting business and economic issues for major news organizations. She was President, producer and anchor for Business Now Television, a national news show focused on technology and emerging growth companies, which was seen on nationally on ABC stations.
Before joining Business Now, Karen worked as a reporter for The Nightly Business Report (NBR), America's most-watched daily business news program broadcast on PBS. While at NBR, she covered breaking business and economic news, including the demise of Pan Am and the economic impact of Hurricane Andrew. She also interviewed many CEOs and prominent leaders in the financial community.
When not covering the national business beat, Karen worked as a producer for ABC and NBC networks covering major national stories, including the bombing of Centennial Park at the 1996 Atlanta summer Olympics and the O.J. Simpson trial.
Karen sits on the board and is the VP of Communications of Women In Film and Video DC, a non profit organization with over 1200 members of the leading media industry professionals.
